Join Cactus Blossom Collective, Suffer Out Loud, And Julia Yanker on November 1 for a death discussion cafe; an openhearted evening hosted in the spirit of Día de los Muertos. Death is something we all experience, yet rarely discuss openly.
This space is for anyone who wants to explore their thoughts around death - be it our own, or the loved ones we’ve lost, or will lose. We’ll share stories, access resources, and find community while we honor this final rite of passage. Together, we will create an open, respectful space to talk about death. This conversation will be gently facilitated by Julia Yanker, a death midwife.
Whether you want to celebrate and remember a loved one, are grappling with loss, or simply want to explore what death means to you and be part of a meaningful conversation, you are welcome here.
Feel free to bring a photo of your beloved dead to place on our ofrenda where we will celebrate their memory throughout the evening. Cake and dulces típicos will be served.
