Our Work

We strive to decrease the stigma around mental health, lower Montana’s suicide rates, and create a supportive community across the state of Montana, where we can come together and Suffer Out Loud.

Mental Health Workshops

Our workshops build community and create a safe, welcoming place to Suffer Out Loud.

The goal of these mental health workshops is to introduce people to various tools for navigating the pressures of our world. In these settings, we can practice normalizing having conversations about mental health and stress. By sharing our stories more openly, we can impact the feelings of isolation that so often factor in suicide ideation, and help people feel like they’re not alone.

We currently provide workshops on a regular basis around Bozeman and Livingston, and we are expanding these workshops geographically to better serve our state — especially the more rural communities of Montana.

Mental Health Resources

We supply Montana businesses, organizations, and individuals with postcards that list mental health resources and contact information.

We believe that everyone should have these resources at their fingertips, to ensure they have options to call, text, or online chat with someone during a difficult time.

Email us at hello@sufferoutloud.org to request your copy or copies of this tangible resource. Visit our Mental Health Resources page to see a list of mental health resources now.

Counseling Scholarships

Each individual counseling scholarship will cover the cost of 12 sessions with a licensed mental health professional. Individuals will be granted scholarships on a first-come, first-served basis.

A safe place to tell your mental health stories

People from all across Montana share their mental health stories on our social media accounts and on our blog. Adding your story to the collection may reach someone who needs to feel less alone — and give someone the courage to say “I’m not well, I need help.” Sharing your story will help to change our culture, and make it okay to Suffer Out Loud.

For more information about how to share your story, please click here.
