Suffer Out Loud's July Workshop featuring the nCenter

Join us for our July workshop to learn more about the benefits of counseling and neurofeedback.

The nCenter is dedicated to helping their clients achieving greater balance in their lives. They promote resilience and well-being in all aspects of life: physical, emotional, intellectual, and social.

It is their belief that the functioning of the brain and body is foundational to self-concept. We have seen that when the balance of brain and body are restored, shifts in self-concept are more easily achieved. We employ the following modalities to support the brain and body: neurofeedback, Rolfing, cold lasers and light therapy. All of these serve the heart of our work, which is counseling.

The nCenter primarily consists of Counseling and neurofeedback.  See these links for a detailed description of the Neurofeedback and Counseling the nCenter offers http://ncenters.com/our-specialized-services/neurofeedback/  http://ncenters.com/our-specialized-services/counseling/

As the director of the nCenter, LLC Jan has two offices, one in Bozeman and the other in Belgrade.  At the nCenters there are four different LCPC’s and one Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) that are currently seeing about100 client hours a week.  This growth is accomplished by accepting Medicaid, Medicare and commercial insurance.   This allows the nCenter to provide a unique service to its clients, namely counseling coupled with neurofeedback that is often covered by insurance.  At the nCenter, the policy is to give a client a free session of neurofeedback, if they go to an hour of counseling.

In May of 1970, Jan Matney received her bachelor’s degree in music from Baylor University.  Inspired by a summer job at Glacier National Park--Jan moved to the Gallatin valley and served as the music teacher of Anderson and Lamotte Public schools from 1974-1976.  Shortly afterward, Jan started having children and became a full time mom until 1987 when she entered Montana State University, Master’s in counseling program.  In 1991 the Montana Board of Social Work Examiners designated Jan as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC).

Becoming an LCPC allowed Jan to enrich the lives of her clients in Bozeman.  She does this by unearthing long-standing behavioral patterns and negative perceptions that hold them back from experiencing a more fulfilling, meaningful life.  This is accomplished by administering attachment theory primarily to families and children.  Jan works as a collaborative and respectful guide, helping clients establish and realize personal goals.
